If I had to pick one quality that best predicts success (other than wanting to be successful) it would be the willingness to risk embarrassment.

Scott Adams, the cartoonist who does Dilbert, has a blog.  He is wicked funny and smart.  At least I think so.  He has a really interesting view point on many things, and you can't always guess what he thinks by just reading his comic strip.
